Scott Oakley is our new General Manager of The Black Horse in Woburn, he joined us at the start of December (just in time for Christmas). Now it’s settled down a bit, we got to know Scott better.
What was your first job in the industry?
I worked at Pizza Hut.
Why did you get into the hospitality industry?
I love new meeting people and it’s a great way to do this everyday.
What have you enjoyed about your first few months with Peach?
The way Peach looks after their team, it’s like being part of an extended family.
Which of the pubs is your favourite and why?
The Black Horse of course! It has a small village charm about it.
What inspires you?
Travelling the world and seeing different perspectives from different cultures.

What’s the best piece of advice you have ever been given?
Always treat people how they treat you.

What is the most exciting thing about your job?
Developing the team around me as much as I possibly can and watching them grow.
